Faith for Fern

The Faith for Fern initiative was set up in May 2009, to raise $75,000 for Fern Kwantes who suffered from reflex sympathetic dystrophy or RSD. RSD is a rare debilitating disease which affects the nervous system, causing extreme and constant pain for the sufferer. A small team of entrepreneurs from the Calgary area banded together with Fern’s twin sister Faith Wood to help raise funds and awareness of Fern’s condition.

In September 2009, Fern received the treatment she deserved and is now pain free. This success story has inspired the team to create a foundation to help continue raising funds and awareness of the terrible disease.
